Ronnie is back in Maui restoring additional sculpt

Ronnie is back in Maui restoring additional sculptures at the Grand Wailea Resort . She completed the large Fernando Botero collection in July, & she is now restoring individual pieces on the grounds. These photos show the before & after of the stripping of the weathered finish & the new patina finish. This sculpture is HOLOK’AI (Canoe Prow) by Edward Brownlee (1990). Stay tuned for more sculptures “brought to life”.

Completed restoration of one of the bronze Botero

Completed restoration of one of the bronze Botero sculptures in Maui at the Grand Wailea Resort (Waldorf Astoria) by Ronnie. This resort houses the largest collection of Bolero sculptures outside of Colombia. The restoration of each sculpture is labor-intensive & requires stripping old layers of sealants, waxes, & patina before they can be re-patined.
